Our program was one of the first fertility centers in the southeast- pioneering in vitro fertilization (IVF) to our region in 1986, and we have helped thousands of couples conceive. Our center is the only full-service fertility clinic in the region, which includes all of Virginia west of Richmond and south of Washington, DC, and offers care 363 days per year from the simplest interventions to the most complex therapies to assure your success.
We are humbled that our patients come from a wide geographic range to work with us, including Richmond and Fredericksburg, south of Lynchburg, west of Roanoke and Blacksburg, and as far north as Winchester and Culpeper.
Our subspecialty-certified fertility specialists, Bruce Bateman, MD, Laura Smith, MD and Christopher Williams, MD, are members of the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility which recognizes the highest level of training and certification in both medical and surgical subspecialty infertility care. We care for all aspects of reproductive medicine and surgery, such as polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, severe male factor infertility, congenital female anomalies, and minimally-invasive, fertility-sparing reproductive surgeries. We are proud that our in vitro fertilization (IVF) program consistently has high IVF success rates. We strive to maintain and improve those rates every year as we apply new advances in the field, for example preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) and a “freeze all” approach to all embryo transfers. We provide egg banking for social reasons and we are partnered with the University of Virginia, Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Urology, as the regional center for fertility preservation for cancer patients- both male and females who wish to bank eggs or sperm before chemotherapy or radiation which may affect future fertility. We also work with a surgery center of excellence offering all levels of complex, minimally invasive surgery to assist conception.
