Virginia Fertility & IVF was started as a private practice owned by Dr. Christopher Williams in October 2006. We were previously a University of Virginia Health System Department where Dr. Bruce Bateman started the IVF program in 1986. In October 2005, the physicians, manager, IVF nurses and lab staff transitioned to Martha Jefferson Hospital where a brand-new state-of-the-art lab was built. Since our founding, we have grown into a collaborative team of physicians leading one of the top IVF programs in Virginia, and we now operate out of a state-of-the-art 10,000 square foot facility.
In 2023, we proudly joined Ivy Fertility, a network of 13 clinics across the U.S.
