Barbara Sauer, RN earned a Bachelor’s in Science in Nursing at the University of Virginia in 1994 after previously earning a Bachelor’s in Science in Animal Science from Purdue University in 1980. A native of Indiana, she, her husband and two children moved to Virginia in 1989. Barb worked as a pediatric nurse at UVA for 12+ years before making the transition to Reproductive Medicine. Outside of work, Barb enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, running, reading, church activities, baking and being the #1 fan of Virginia Rowing. She truly enjoys the patients and "team" that make Virginia Fertility & IVF such a wonderful place to work. Judy Smith, RN holds an Associate’s Degree in Allied Health Nursing and has been practicing for 35 years. Certified in the Operating Room for 25 years, she and her husband recently relocated to Virginia in 2018. Judy is a New Jersey native where she grew up, received her degree and worked in reproductive medicine part of her career. She has one grown married son. She enjoys making stained glass windows and singing in a local Oratorio Society in her spare time. Ali Chisholm, RN is originally from Maryland and moved to Charlottesville in 2015 to begin her nursing career at UVA. She spent 2 years in labor and delivery/women's health and now works in the emergency department. She graduated with a nursing degree from Shenandoah university in 2014 following her dairy science degree from Virginia Tech in 2012...go Hokies! In her free time, she enjoys being outside and spending time exploring the Charlottesville area. Alisha Coleman, RN earned her degree and Associates in Applied Science from PVCC in 2008 and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from UVA in 2014. Alisha started her nursing career at Martha Jefferson in Telemetry then developed an interest to do Home Health Care. Desiring to go back to school, she transferred to UVA and worked for 5 years in Pain Management doing procedures. After leaving Pain Management, she was part of establishing the UVA Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehab clinic at the battle building earning a certification in Rehabilitation Nursing. As a nurse she also has experience in Urology and Orthopedics. Originally from Michigan, Alisha moved to VA at the age of 8 in 1991. She married her husband David (born and raised in Charlottesville, VA) in October 2016 and they enjoy raising their 3 children; Josephine, age 9, and 15 month old twins Cecelia and Sawyer here in VA. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, exercising and doing activities that allow her to grow in her faith. Anne Luniewski, RN joined Virginia Fertility & IVF's staff in 2018. She attended Virginia Tech and earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance in 2002, then attended PVCC and earned her Associate Degree in Nursing in 2012. Born and raised in Grundy, VA, she currently lives in Fluvanna County and is married with two kids, two dogs, and a cat. Outside of work, Anne enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading, traveling, and volunteering.
